The greatest threat to Arizona’s construction industry—the PRO Act —is one U.S. Senate vote away from becoming law, with Arizona’s Sens. Kyrsten Sinema and Mark Kelly being key players in that determination.

The PRO Act would create conditions where unions hold virtually all the leverage in efforts to unionize open-shop firms—effectively repealing Arizona’s right-to-work law—and in collective bargaining with union firms. At the same time, the PRO Act would force employers to divulge private information about their employees, deny workers the right to a secret ballot in union elections and would unleash an unprecedented wave of labor unrest.
