About Nina:
Nina Curri
Nina Curri is an outstanding singer/songwriter based in Tempe, Arizona. Her musical styles and influences include roots blues, r&b, jazz, pop and country. After years of performing as a blues singer, Nina has developed the ability to meld songbird-like vocals with a powerhouse blues range. Her music is introspective and real while performing traditional roots blues and originally composed material. She has had the opportunity of opening shows for and sharing the stage with legendary artists such as Francine Reed, Chico Chism, The Rocket 88’s, Jesse Colter, Ian Moore and Delbert McClinton.
Nina has performed in local venues in the valley from The Rhythm Room, to The Tempe Center for The Arts, to hot spot restaurants & resorts, to theater settings.
She performed in The Arizona Acoustic Blues Showcase hosted by The Phoenix Blues Society at The Musical Instrument Museum in 2013 and 2014 with a local lineup that sold out shows two years in a row. She has lived in Austin and Houston, Texas for several years which largely influenced her musical style. Nina has even performed a showcase at the legendary singer/songwriter club, The Bitter End in NYC where many famed singer/songwriters got their start.
Performing most commonly as a solo artist, Nina has also joined forces with Dan Rutland to combine their talents that has produced a “dynamic duo” of a team that has become quite popular in the valley of the sun. They currently perform monthly shows together.
