PROGRAM OVERVIEW

The OSHA Outreach 10-Hour Construction Safety Course is designed to teach workers and supervisors the basics about OSHA compliance.

This course will cover OSHA regulations relating to:

· Intro to OSHA

· Focus Four (Fall Protection, Electrical, Struck By Hazards, Caught In/Between Hazards)

· Ladders

· PPE (Personal Protective Equipment)

· Access & Housekeeping

· Power & Hand Tools

· Scaffolding

· Excavation & Trenching

· Other safety topics.


This is a 2-day course and students are required to attend both days to receive their OSHA card. This course is held on 1 day in Jan. and 1-day in Feb.


INSTRUCTOR

STEVE MULLEN, CSP, CRIS, ARM
SFI COMPLIANCE

Steve Mullen is a safety professional with over 20 years’ experience across both general and construction industries. He began his career in risk management as a consultant providing site inspection, staff training, and safety program development services to school districts across the state of Arizona. Steve then transitioned into the construction industry, becoming the claims and safety representative for a national healthcare providers Owner Controlled Insurance Program. In that position, his primary role was to collaborate with contractors to address the unique challenges of safely performing construction activity within operational healthcare facilities throughout AZ, CO, CA, NV, and WY.

Steve earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Global Business from Arizona State University. He is also a Certified Safety Professional (CSP), and holds the Construction Risk Insurance Specialist (CRIS) and Associate in Risk Management (ARM) designations.

• Prior to entering the event, a temperature scan shall be performed. If an individual is experiencing any of the symptoms above, he/she will not be admitted.

• Face coverings are required to be worn at all times throughout the meeting, unless you are eating or drinking.

• Social distancing is required of 6’ between persons.

• Follow proper hygiene practices by washing hands frequently.

• Do not share food or drink items.
