What is Children First Academy(Phoenix)?
Children First Academy's Phoenix campus educates children who are from economically challenged families. 100% of the students at this charter school and their families are at or below the poverty line and a vast majority of the students are homeless.There are approximately 250 students, grades K-6, being educated on the campus. The school provides stability and hope for kids amid a chaotic world of homelessness and hopelessness; many of the children live in motels, shelters and many live doubled up.Children First Academy works to provide the necessities, care and attention that so many homeless and low socioeconomic children lack.
What is RISE Services(Mesa)?
RISE is a nonprofit organization that specializes in foster care services, finding committed and loving people to work with children, ages 0-18 years old and of all ethnicities.The children coming into care are those who have had a rough beginning through abuse, neglect, sexual abuse, drug exposure or violence.Foster families are given $100- by the state to buy clothing for each foster child. No funds are provided for school supply needs. There will be approximately 250 children we can assist at RISE to provide needed supplies.
What is Christian Family Care(Tucson)?
CFC is a non-profit agency licensed by the state of Arizona to serve vulnerable children by providing foster care, counseling, and adoption services. Since the organization began in 1982, approximately 30,000 children have been placed in CFC foster and adoptive homes.
How Can ABA Members Help?
The ABA's Community Service Board will be purchasing almost all supplies this year with monetary donations.Make a monetary donation to the ABA to purchase needed items.
