THE 2020 LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT FORUM WILL BE WORKING WITH VALLEYLIFE ON ONE OF THEIR LOCATIONS ON THE FOLLOWING RENOVATIONS:

Kitchen: Upgrading the kitchen area for a better overall experience for the Valley Life clients. Some of the improvements from fundraising efforts will include:

  • Enlarging the kitchen by over 36%
  • Installing new modern cabinets with solid surface counters
  • Movable kitchen island
  • Upgraded stainless appliances
  • Complete new code compliant electrical with GFI receptacles, dedicated circuits, and recessed lighting
  • Plumbing upgrades include: tankless water heater, water filtration, ice maker, and new kitchen sink fixture
  • All new drywall and paint
  • Replacing the HVAC for the entire house with energy efficient ductwork
Activity Room: Upgrading the multi-purpose/activity room for a better overall experience for the Valley Life clients. Some of the improvements from fundraising efforts will include:
  • Added storage, cabinets and shelving throughout
  • Improved A/V system and video projector
  • Improve the overall HVAC system to allow for removal of a window AC unit and installation of a new window with natural light
  • Add an interactive sensory wall feature for individuals with specific sensory needs
  • Improved interior lighting
  • New paint
Backyard: Upgrading the backyard for a better overall experience for the Valley Life clients. Some of the improvements from fundraising efforts will include:
  • Installing a ramp into the building and refinishing the patio surface
  • Providing a new storage shed with new maintenance equipment
  • Cleaning up the existing grass and trees
  • Providing new patio furniture and sitting areas for an enjoyable outdoor experience and activities

VALLEYLIFE is a 73-year old non-profit agency serving over 450 persons with developmental and physical disabilities through 26 group homes, 11 day activity centers, a vocational program and home-based services.
